HUN - Magyarország, hivatalos nevén a Magyar Köztársaság független, demokratikus állam Közép-Európában, a Kárpát-medencében. Tengerparttal nem rendelkezik, északon Szlovákia, északkeleten Ukrajna, keleten és délkeleten Románia, délen Szerbia, délen, délnyugaton Horvátország, délnyugaton Szlovénia, nyugaton Ausztria határolja.

Fővárosa és legnagyobb városa Budapest. Jelentős nagyvárosok még Debrecen, Miskolc, Szeged, Pécs, Győr, Nyíregyháza, Kecskemét és Székesfehérvár.

Az ország egyebek között 1996 óta az OECD, 1999 óta a NATO, 2004 óta az Európai Unió, 2007. december 21. óta pedig a schengeni övezetnek is tagja, és egyik alapítója az úgynevezett Visegrádi Együttműködés szervezetnek.

ENG - Hungary (Hungarian: Magyarország), officially in English the Republic of Hungary (Magyar Köztársaság, literally Hungarian Republic), is a landlocked country in the Carpathian Basin of Central Europe, bordered by Austria, Slovakia, Ukraine, Romania, Serbia, Croatia, and Slovenia. The official language is Hungarian, which is part of the Finno-Ugric family. It is one of the four official languages of the European Union that is not of Indo-European origin.

The kingdom was succeeded by a Communist era (1947–1989) during which Hungary gained widespread international attention regarding the Revolution of 1956 and the seminal move of opening its border with Austria in 1989, thus accelerating the collapse of the Eastern Bloc. The present form of government is parliamentary republic (since 1989). In the past decade, Hungary was listed as the 10th most economically dynamic area and one of the 15 most popular tourist destinations in the world, with a capital regarded as "one of the most beautiful urban landscapes in the world". The country is home to the second largest thermal lake in the world (Lake Hévíz), the largest lake in Central Europe (Lake Balaton), and the largest natural grassland in Europe (Hortobágy).
